Last weekend a new boutique Dolce & Gabbana was inaugurated in Venice. It is a flagship store displayed on three floors and located in Calle Larga XXII Marzo, a few meters from Piazza San Marco and Teatro La Fenice. The flagship store, that occupies the premises of the beautiful Palazzo Torres, a former bank, was designed by the American architect Eric Carlson, from the Carbondale cabinet, with full regard to the historical character of the palace.
For the opening, Dolce & Gabbana realised a special collection of silk scarves: the symbols of the city printed, from the Basilica San Marco, to the gondolas, through the winged Lion, that celebrate the beauty and the uniqueness of the Venetian city. Part of the sales has been dedicated to the international no profit organisations Save Venice and Venitian Heritage that promote the protection of the artistic heritage of the city.
