Christmas windows at Printemps

Christmas is coming and, like every year, the Parisian department stores are preparing nice surprises for their windows. Tuesday, November 7, Printemps Haussmann has called a godmother of exception for the launch ceremony of Christmas festivities, the actress and ambassador of the brand Fendi Nicole Kidman, who cut the ribbon in front of the main entrance in Boulevard Haussmann with Paolo de Cesare, the Printemps CEO.

On September 28, the party for the launching of the capsule collection Claudia Schiffer X Aquazzura has taken place in the sumptuous setting of the Hôtel d’Évreux located at 19, Place Vendôme. For this occasion, a sneak-peek of eight models of shoes were carefully displayed in a room decorated with clouds – a wink to the top model’s nickname, Cloudy – with the attendance of the German top model,

Giuseppe For Jennifer Lopez

Fans of fashion and sparkling shoes, are you ready? After the success of the capsule collection “Giuseppe X Jennifer Lopez” launched last winter, the famous Italian shoe-designer Giuseppe Zanotti renewed his collaboration with singer Jennifer Lopez. An almost essential option, as the designer stated, given that “Jennifer Lopez is an icon and has an innate sense of style. My shoes are made for strong women who want to feel fabulous, and Jennifer is the epitome of that.

The Fabergé of footwear

Who is behind the nickname Fabergé of footwear? One of the most famous shoe-designer of the Twentieth century, Roger Vivier. Born in Paris in 1907, two years after beginning his studies at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, he quits all to dedicate himself to the shoe training. His passion for the theatre and the music-hall incites him to create his first made-to-measure pairs of shoes for the queens, Josephine Baker and Misstinguett, that he had run into in the backstage while he was drawing the sets.

Kirkwood & the luxury sneakers

The last shoe designer to have yielded to the sirens of street style is Nicholas Kirkwood, the famous English designer who chose the latest Paris Fashion Week FW17 to unveil his first model of sneakers. It is a pair of “high-top” sneakers all in leather that are developed only in black, white or pink blush. Of course, in order to differentiate from the others, they have the designer’s signature with the pearl which has become his hallmark of these last years.

Tod’s and the gommino

The name Tod’s recalls luxury, the Italianness and another element: the gommino. This typical element of the loafer’s sole has become the emblem of Della Valle Company. Everything started in a small village of the Marche Region, in the middle of Italy, where Diego Della Valle, CEO of the brand, has grown up in the little of his grand-father Filippo, an artisan who used to draw and produce shoes.

Manolo: The art of shoes

Manolo Blahnik : The art of shoes ”  is the title of the exhibition dedicated to the iconic couturier that hosts 80 drawings and 212 shoes in Palazzo Morando, located in the heart of the fashion district in Milan, and that was opened on January 26. It is an absolute first as part of the celebration of the 45 year-career of the Spanish designer who has specifically chosen Italy and, in particular, Milan.

Level: welcome to paradise!

What if you were told that there is a 30 thousand square meters place entirely dedicated to shoes, would you think it a fairy tale? Not at all, I can assure you this place is 100 % real and it is located inside the world’s largest shopping mall, the Dubai Mall, in the financial capital of the United Arabic Emirates. I’m talking about the Level Shoe District, created in 2012 from the Chalhoub Group, the luxury group of the Middle East,

The shoes revolution

Wearing 3.9 inch heels all day long to take public transports, to go to work, pick up children from school, to go shopping at the supermarket and then to the inauguration’s cocktail of your favourite brand’s new flagship store, this isn’t obvious, at all. Well, I’ve always thought that we women are such heroines! American women, who are very pragmatic, they are perfectly aware of it:
