Chanel: Paris-Hamburg

Every year, at the beginning of December, the house Chanel invites us to a different destination in order to present its fashion show Chanel and the fine arts. This time, the choice fell on the hometown of the Artistic Director Karl Lagerfeld, Hambourg, in Germany. Wedsneday December 6, it’s the famous architectural jewel of the Elbe Philarmonic or Elbphilarmonie, conceived by Jacques Herzog et Pierre de Meuron, that hosted the traditional fashion show created in order to enhance the craftsmanship of the embroiderers Maison Lesage and Atelier Montex,

The magic of Hermès

The house of Hermès throws a fabulous surprise for us for these Christmas festivities: the Grand Palais has been holding a magnificent free exhibition from November 8th to December 3rd, Hermès à tire-d’aile. A proper tribute to the talented designer of the windows of Hermès from 1978 to 2013, the Tunisian Leïla Menchari, by reconstructing eight of the iconic windows of the flagship store at the 24, rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Altagamma (High-end) it’s the name of the Italian Foundation that gathers the companies of the cultural and creative high industry in order to promote in the world the excellence of the Italian craftsmanship and style. Its mission? Highlighting the Italian contemporary essence that can be translated with the saying “the beautiful, the good and the well-made”. Founded in 1992 in Milan by Santo Versace, Gianni Versace’s brother and chaired by Andrea Illy, the CEO of Illy Caffè, Altagamma has been celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
